Aug 10, 2020 at 11:02 comment added Wossname The other thing is that I can shred up the seeds and compost them for use elsewhere in the garden rather than paying the council to take them away (at least 2-3 full wheelie bins per year!).

They build up over time and go rotten after a while, which makes the concrete areas slippery. Then theres the issue of blocking the municipal drains (they have done so in the past). In the interest of harmony with the other residents of my street I'd like to get it under control.
