What is causing curling leaves on my potted Rosy Glow Barberrybarberry bushes?

I have a few Rosy Glow BarberryRosy Glow Barberries that I bought when they were little. II live in a very hot and humid area, so I put them under 60% shade cloth.

Well, they turned green.....so, so that tellstold me that they needneeded more sunlight, but the leaves are also curling under. Is that also from lack of sunlight or is that something else? I put them out in full sun now, and the color is changing (for the good I hope), but I have not seen an improvement in the curling.enter image description here
