One-man-shop landscape architect (BLA) based in New Zealand's far south specialising in landscape design and planning for rural clients (farms & large lifestyle), especially planted and technical solutions for storm-water, farm runoff & riparian, as well as urban design and townhouse work.
I'm fluent in weed-science and ecology, urban trees, perennials/herbs, and NZ natives. With hard landscape I focus on geotextile applications and permeable surfaces such as gravel-grass, LIUD and open stormwater systems.
I have a deeper background in materials and fabrication; mold-making, plastics, panelbeating, woodwork, concrete and construction, all of which helps with the hard side of landscape design, as well as providing an understanding of the culture that leads to pollution.
I work from a tiny (pop. 22), remote place (nearest town 60km), and the net makes my life and business here possible.
