We were ripping out some thorny hedges that were overgrown in our Colorado yard but one bush was different and had just shown up the past few years so must have been brought in by wildlife. It has delicate white flowers with yellow pistil, heart shaped leaves that grow on purple stems when new growth and old growth is white bark like.

I’m thinking it’s a common lilac?

Small white flower

  • It's not a lilac, but possibly a plant native to Colorado.
