It's second season (tubers have survived winter in soil), new vines grow incredibly fast, I think that's 4 cm or so every day. Unlike first season, now vines are thick (size similar as my finger), lignified and hard. But it only grows as single vine, and it creates only small amount of new leaves:

What happens if I prune vine (cut off top meristem) - will it force to create more leaves? Or it will only stop growing? Or better to wait and it will eventually create more leaves?
