On one of the sides of our house we have a few Cupressus bush? that are brown. I have not fully investigated the bush fully, but we have a few of these bushes in this area that are half brown half green. I'm not even sure if it's the same tree to be perfectly honest.

Backstory, these bushes are around 30+ years old. They have never been maintained since we moved in. They don't see regular water, due to the fact that we don't have a watering zone that goes to that part of the house. These bushes survive off rain water alone.

What do I do about parts of my Cupressus bushes Browning? Are the brown parts savable? Should I just cut them off from the green sections? If they are savable, how much watering are we talking here?

Southern California. Thanks. Full Size Image
