Using Grow LEDs to emit light from the pot and stem of a plant or tree onto the leaves how would that plant grow opposite to normal sun light?

Probably it wouldn't grown very well. The structure of plant leaves is not symmetrical through the thickness, and they are "designed" to receive light for photosynthesis from the "top" not the bottom. It might be a fun biology experiment to try it, though (with the plants in a light-proof box except for the grow lights). – alephzero Jun 24 at 9:02
