Use distilled water until the plant is well established. Plus, after that only use water that has sat out overnight, so it has time to off-gas any chloride and fluorides it might contain it. Also, many potting soils already contain 3 to 6 months worth of fertilizer for moderate feeders plants. Also, Avocados are light nitrogen feeders so you probably won't need to add anything for a year or so. | |
