comment Building a concrete divider for a lawn/garden bed
@Daniel Thanks, I was looking to buy more of it but I didn't know the name myself. I had a look at the local Bunnings and they didn't have it... :( I recommend having a look in the Trading Post, often people will give it away if you're willing to pick it up.

This is interesting. I would love to vote up your answer but it needs more info. How wide would it have to be? In a "U" shape or an "I" shape? Also consider adding a picture of or link to an example of the product you mentioned.

So, it's the shape that defines it?

How wide and deep should the trench be? I have a mechanical edger and can easily make a trench 5cm (2") deep and wide. Will that suffice? Also, will cedar sawdust keep back invasive grasses like buffalo and couch.

@woodchips I thought that too, but I'll attach the image from the site the OP linked to. I can see how it could make sense, if it's over the garden bed, you'd want to clear your plants. Or if you're older and can't bend down.

I agree. "If in doubt, cut it out." If you want to give it a few more years a good trim could help, but it won't look as good as a replant.
