How can I get rid of ticks in my garden? Carnivorous plants will not attract ticks. Their hosts are mammals like mice, dogs or cats. |

Hardy plants for wind break in the Rocky Mountain West? Most of the cedars that are hardy in Montana will get over 20 feet at maturity. They do provide shelter but do not stand up well to freezing rain or ice storms. |

What actually occurs for manure to become considered “well-rotted”? This is a good point but can you expand on it further to make a complete answer? How would you know when the ammonia is gone? |

What are some reasons why a blueberry bush's leaves turn yellow? it's always a good idea to check what's going on in the soil. Grass roots will take compete for nutrients but are unlikely to cause the yellowing we see in the photos. |

Should mulch be mixed with something else? Just as a word of caution most established trees like it just the way it is. Those leaves you removed are nature's mulch. When you mulch you should not put more than a half inch to an inch on. (about the depth of leaves you removed....) |

Transplanting into seedling starter? My opinion, without doing research on the matter, is that the difference between seedling mix, potting soil and seed starter mix is small. The packaging is the main difference. What you bought should work fine. |
