Keen amateur gardener - wishing I could live up to my dad (an extreme gardener - with JCB and quarry experience) and my father in law - a professional gardener.

comment Can I replace my lawn mower's blade with any brand blade?
The ones that have a central bolt usually have locating rods or other devices. If it is a single bolt with no other fixings, then you have it easy :-)

comment How can I control growth on a steep hill?
Not an answer to your specific question, but I have seen and used a technique to mow these sort of slopes safely: have the mower roped, and you walk along the top of the hill, starting with the mower at the top and letting the ropes out on each pass to mow further down the hill.
